D.C. Da Capo 03/26
And here it is, the next episode of D.C. Da Capo. This one has a lot of Miharu!
For more information about this release, see the post about the first episode.

Futakoi Alternative 01/13
So, another hardsubbed show is becoming softsubbed. I decided that I'll do two shows in parallel from now on, the releases will be rotated. It's more interesting for me this way.
The order of episodes was slightly changed on DVDs comparing to the broadcast order: episode 3 was shifted down to become episode 5, and episodes 4 and 5 were consequently shifted up to 3 and 4. I'll release the show in the DVD order.
[EDIT: the following text describes the v1 release. It is left here for historical reasons.
See this post for the description of the v2 release.]
This release is based on existing raws created from DVDISOs by uboa. (Not to be confused with old DivX raws that've been floating around.)
Video: x264 640x480 29.97 fps 1724 kbps (encode by uboa)
Audio: Ogg Vorbis 192kbps (2.0)
Subtitles: English styled softsubs (translation by AnimeYuki)
Screen comparison with AnimeYuki TV rip
(Static screens might not do justice because this show has a lot of action and complex scenes. So look at it and leave your opinion.)

Canvas 2 22-24/24
For some reason when I watched the show, this ending was exactly what I expected. Though a lot of people say it was a surprise. Maybe it depends on your preferences. Anyway, in my opinion the ending is satisfying and beautiful. Enjoy!

D.C. Da Capo 01/26
D.C. Da Capo was aired as 26 episodes, each running for ~24 minutes. But the main story runs for this duration only in episodes 15 and 22-26. Episodes 1-7 were aired with image songs performed by seiyuus of the main series characters. Episodes 8-14 and 16-21 were aired with side episodes.
All of that is included in this DVD-based re-release. But for some reason, DVD shifts the side episodes to ep 8-20. Because of this shift, episode 15 now runs for 30 minutes and episode 21 runs for 18 minutes. All other episodes are 24-minute long.
The video is encoded with x264 at 704x480 (anamorphic 16:9), 29.97fps, crf 17. The average bitrate among 26 episodes is 1373kbps. The animated parts are completely unfiltered (they don't even need IVTC, because the DVDs are progressive). The sound is untouched 448kbps AC3 (2.0).
Special thanks to Zalis / ReDone Subs for OP&ED karaoke and all the other help.

Two subtitle tracks are included.
- English translation by Soldats (styled softsubs)
- English translation by AonE&HQA (styled softsubs)
Note that AonE&HQA cut and didn't translate image songs from episodes 2-7, so Soldats translation is used for those parts in both subtitle tracks.

Canvas 1 01/02
Just to complete Canvas collection, I'm also re-releasing Canvas: Sepia-iro no Motif OVA.
Although Animeforce release supposedly uses DVD source, it has the following problems:
1. It is hardsubbed.
2. The first episode has horrible video quality.
3. The second episode has horrible typesetting with lots of 3- and even 4-liners.
4. Aspect ratio is incorrect.
Screen comparison between Animeforce and this re-release
Note that this OVA contains a couple of minor hentai scenes.
Video: x264 704x480 VFR ~1147kbps (crf 17)
Audio: Japanese 2.0 AC3 192kbps
Subtitles: English softsubs (.ASS), translation by Animeforce

Canvas 2 18-21/24
Some unexpected events occurred last Friday left me with no time for anime for several days. But don't worry, all plans remain unchanged. Here's the next batch of Canvas 2 episodes.
The episodes now feature OP/ED karaoke made by Zalis from ReDone Subs. All thanks to him!

Canvas 2 13-17/24
The next batch of Canvas 2 episodes is ready. This includes Lilac All-Nighter - another great filler.
You can now also get all my releases from irc bot J-G|XDCC which is lurking in #jumonji-giri channel at Rizon. I won't guarantee that this bot will last, though.

Canvas 2 06-08/24
Those moving signs are killing me, especially when they are moving non-linearly. You might notice a couple of signs dancing in ep06, but they were dancing in Lunar hardsub too, so at least I didn't make it worse.
Anyway, the period of me being too busy with other work is now over. Expect this to be completed in a couple of weeks. Da Capo releases will be started in parallel.

Canvas 2 03-04/24
Here are the next two episodes of Canvas 2.
I hope you enjoy this show as much as I do.
You might notice blended frames in some scenes of episode 3, like it wasn't IVTC'd, while other scenes in the same episode are completely okay. I would've thought this is the problem of the raws, but the same effect is present in all encodes (KTXP, SumiSora, two WMV9 versions from PD, and even in the original Lunar TV rips and in the other TV rips I got from share). It would be interesting to look at the actual DVD, but most probably this is something that can't be cured.

W Wish omakes + Ep07v2
Thanks to a member of bakabt, we now have English translation for W Wish omakes! Both of us are not native speakers, so if you notice some Engrish, bear with it.
Thanks to the help from another member of bakabt, we also have v2 of ep07 which removes some video artifacts.

Canvas 2 01/24
We are listening to your requests! :-)
Also, since one nice guy sent me Lunar subs for this show, I couldn't resist starting this as the next project.
This release is based on (rather ancient) xvid DVD rips from KTXP. The quality is pretty good though. There are newer x264 rips from SumiSora which I also have, but I fail to see how they are better (see screen comparison below). I've also downloaded two sets of raws from PD, they are not too bad, but like most releases from PD, they use WMV9 codec, which I try to avoid when possible.
Screen comparison between Lunar TV rips and KTXP
Screen comparison between SumiSora and KTXP
So, the technical stuff:
Video: xvid 848x480 ~1400kbps 23.976fps
Audio: Janapese 2.0 AAC ~220kbps
Subtitles: English styled softsubs (ASS), translation by Lunar Anime
Since I'm not a native speaker, Lunar subs are not edited, just retimed to this release. (This applies to all my releases.) Lunar used Impress BT font for the dialogue, so I decided to use the same.
BTW I had weird problems timing the subs in Aegisub using KTXP video. It shows a frame as frame NNN, then I move around a bit and suddenly it shows the same frame as NNN+1 (or NNN-1). Then some time later the frames are shifted again. WTF is that? Since I failed to fix this, I had to temporarily transcode the video to x264 for timing. The final release, of course, uses the original video.

Sister Princess Re Pure (RePure) 13/13
The series is now complete.
Now something extra for those of you who enjoy playing anime OP/EP in a loop (or collectors who just want to have everything).
The first file contains creditless opening for the short stories, 4 creditless versions of the ending (the only difference seems to be the color palette), plus a full-length version of the same ending.
The second file contains creditless opening for the character stories, plus all 12 versions of "A Girl In Love" (in case you didn't notice, it is sung by a different girl in every episode).
The extras are DDL only.

W Wish 06/13
And, since I was surprised to learn that some people are actually waiting for this, here it comes, the next episode of W Wish!
I hope the phrase she says does not apply to this release.
The final episode of Sister Princess Re Pure will be released a bit later, because I am mean.

Sister Princess Re Pure (RePure) 01-03/13
Surprise!
Video: x264 VFR 704x480 ~1763 kbps (ep1)
Audio: Japanese AAC 2.0 ~263 kbps
Subtitles: English styled softsubs (ASS)
Raws: unknown source (PD)
Translation: Ishin Anime Digital Fansubs
Retyped and retimed by yours truly
Sister Princess RePure episodes have the following structure:
1. Short story opening
2. Short story (~12 min)
3. Short story ending
4. Character story opening
5. Character story (~8 min)
6. Character story ending
7. Preview of the next episode
The structure of the episodes remains intact in this release, so do not miss the character story after the ending of the short story.
There are 12 character stories overall, each focusing on one of the 12 sisters. Episode 13 is an exception as it doesn't feature a character story, instead having a longer main story.
By the way, the opening song for the character stories, "A girl in love", is DVD exclusive, it was not present in Ishin TV-rips, therefore it is not translated in this release (Romaji subtitles only). But you will understand what's it about :)
All other songs are fully translated. Character endings feature a different song in every episode (except of episode 1, which doesn't have any).
This will be released quickly. Since I've already transcribed and timed subtitles for all 13 episodes (the last one was finished today), I'm going to release the entire series during this week, after doing some basic self-QC.

W Wish 05/13 + NCOP
Episode 5 of W Wish is here.
I think this is a lousy filler episode, but after this the show gets better, especially when the actual plot kicks in. Get creditless opening as a bonus.

Translators needed
If anyone with Japanese knowledge wants to translate 4 episodes of Hani Hani: Operation Sanctuary, please let me know. Since this show does not have any softsub release, this could be one of the next project. I have some raws, however, the problem is that DVD contains 4 episodes that were never fansubbed (ep 9.5, 10.5, 11.5, 12.5).

Introduction
This place is reserved for another one-man group dedicated to re-releasing old anime with softsubs and better video quality. The original fansub groups will receive credits inside the episode and in file names.
The Rules:
1. DVD rips only. BD rips are also possible, but no TV rips.
2. Softsubs only. Existing translations from fansub groups will be re-typed and re-timed.
3. MKV container.
4. Main focus is on older anime series that do not have proper softsub releases.
I will not do OP/ED karaoke because I do not see the point. (If someone else wants to do it for me I can include it though.)
Currently Planned Projects:
1. W Wish
2. D.C. Da Capo
3. Sister Princess Repure
4. Kanon 2002
5. some more I won't reveal yet.
