Good luck with Smash Hit!; I looked into doing that trio of m.o.e shows, but I only found shitty upscaled 720p raws for Cosprayers and nothing for Smash Hit! and Love Love?.
Yes, that is what I was going to use. I have these upscales for all three shows. Are they really that bad? It's a pity they are upscaled, but to me they at least look like an improvement over the TV rips (see comparison of the first episode, screens from Zero-Raws are downscaled back to 640x480).
I see some 640x480 raws for Smash Hit on PD, so I'll try to get them to compare. However, for Love Love and Cosplayers, I can't find anything else (Love Love is also a bitch to search for)...
