Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge 13/13


Among the extras, there are live-action performances of some songs from the anime (I almost forgot about them).

Besides this, the DVDs include full-length audio commentary tracks for all episodes. But they're in Japanese and I doubt anyone is willing to translate them. So if you understand Japanese and want the commentary, buy the DVDs :-P

    @Anon: That's a nice list. I may pick some of these shows once my current to-do list shortens down a bit. Lime-iro Senkitan is going to be redone by ReDone soon.

    hello kaishakunin, i'd also like to request an anime:

    Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito.

    currently only a .avi version by Shinsen-subs is available.

    Yami to Boushi to Hon no Tabibito is already picked up as planned project (just look at "Release status" page). I'm also waiting for it...

    I will do Yami to Boushi (I have the DVDs), but don't expect much improvement in video quality over SHS avis. Despite their age their quality is pretty good, the DVDs are only marginally better. This is the reason I'm postponing that series all the time.
    (/me goes back to watching Kagihime. Quite enjoyable.)

    @Anonymous 8:28 -- Indeed, you can expect Lime-iro Senkitan from me fairly soon. Though I'm sure I would've been involved even if J-G had picked it up, since the DVD version has extra scenes that require translation.

    Although if you can obtain the .isos and want to encode them, kaishakunin, let me know. Otherwise I'll be going with the old wmv9/mp3 raws.

    @Zalis: Heh, I already searched for them. But I could only find some bootleg .isos of horrible quality, wmv9 raws are better than that... :(

    I hope you continue onwards to Ryuukitan, btw. That show could truly use some translation ;)

    Very true. Ryuukitan is one of the most-dropped orphan series in fansubbing.

    Another show in desperate need of a DVD version is Amatsuki. The TV raws were grim. The dialog was softsubbed, but all of Ureshii's typesetting was AFX hardsubbed.

    I have sub files for Yume Tsukai, although probably not for the preferred version, if that would help.

    About the commentaries: some groups will release those in raw form as separate downloads for those curious enough to check them out. So that might be an option. I know I wouldn't translate commentaries unless I was really into the commentators or the show -- natural Japanese speech in commentaries/interviews is a lot harder to TL than anime dialogue.

    On Ryuukitan, I could use help timing it, and I'll probably need to get the raws transcoded as they are 120 fps. And if anyone can find raws for the 2-episode Nangoku Roman OVA, I'd release that too.
